Millionaire Secrets - Surround Yourself With Winners
Ever notice that Millionaires surround themselves with other Millionaire. Obvious yes but very important to say the least. You become, more often than not, like the people you hang around with the most, a very powerful Millionaire Secret.
As the story goes, Mark Victor Hansen was grieving to Tony Robbins about his less than desirable level of success.
“I don’t understand it,” said Hansen. “I just can’t seem to get from where I am to where I want to be.”
“Well, who are the people around you?” asked Robbins.
“The thing is,” replied Hansen. “I’m hanging out with millionaires.”
“That’s the problem,” declared Robbins. “You need to start hanging out with billionaires.”
Mark Victor Hansen took Tony Robbins’ advice, and the rest is history.
Now obviously there were other things that contributed to his massive success but this story still illustrates one of the most important Millionaire Secrets. Surround yourself with successful people then you will have no choice but to be successful. If you hang around with unsuccessful people than you will find it very hard, if not impossible, to be successful.
There are many reasons for this. Lets take a look at unsuccessful people first. Unsuccessful people are:
Negative
depressed
boring
pessimistic
non encouraging
scared
passionless
non caring
not enthusiastic
people who bring you down
This is just the top ten, I can think of plenty more from my past experiences alone and I’m sure you could too…but we’ll stop there.
Now take a look at the the list and ask yourself if Donald Trump would be the success he is now if he hung around people that had these qualities.
Ask yourself if Tony Robbins would have inspired the multiple thousands of people that he has and would of made the millions he’s made if he hung around boring, lonely and pessimistic people.
Now ask yourself if YOU could become the success you want to be if you would be surrounded by people who are always discouraging you from your goals, always telling you their depressing stories, and bringing you down with them…not likely.
On the flip side, let’s take a look at what qualities winners, or, successful people have.
Successful people are:
Enthusiastic
Fun
Joyful
Inspiring
Caring
Motivating
Courageous
Funny
Uplifting
Passionate
Now this is a no brainer for me. I can see why winners want to be surrounded by other winners. They inspire each other, challenge one another, uplift and encourage everyone for the greater good of all.
Whenever they’re feeling down, possibly frustrated, or need help with something, being surrounded by a positive successful group will turn your “bad” mood into a good mood very quickly.
Before starting my Home Business, I was still working my “job” and exchanging my time for money. The group that I was constantly surrounded by was far from the person I wanted to become. Nothing against them, they are all great and unique individuals and they are doing what they believe in, but there ambitions for wealth, health and happiness were non existent. All they really cared or talked about were bills, what’s on TV today, and gossiped about other colleagues. I don’t know about you but that’s not a life I want to live for the next 40 years of my life.
After leaving this environment and realizing what a significant positive change it had on my life, I made it a point to hang around with only winners. I hang out with my closest friends, friends that I’ve known since grade school, who inspire be, back me up, and push me to be a better person not just in business, but in all aspects of my life. You’d be wise to do the same.
I have also had to limit my communication with certain family members that are nothing but emotionally and mentally draining. I don’t mean that to sound harsh but the truth is that they are people who would rather fold in life then push and reach further. I know that to reach my goals I just can’t surround myself with their “advise”.
Furthermore, from the day I started my Home Business, I have surrounded myself with a community of successful people. A community of people who are already making the income I want to make. A community that is living the life that I aspire to have, and some parts I already do. I listen to them on the phone, I watch their videos and I take their advise.
One of the best pieces if advise I have ever received was this,” To get what you want the fastest, surround yourself with the people who already have what you want”. This piece of advise has skyrocketed my success faster than anything yet.
What happens after consistently surrounding yourself with a community of winners is after a short time you begin to talk like them, you begin to act like them, and ultimetly you begin to get the results that they get. This all comes down to the Law Of Attraction, like attracts like. If you want to be a Millionaire, start to think, act, and do what Millionaires do.
To put it another way, if you wanted to sell Real Estate for a living, would you take advise from your local relater - or Donald Trump?
